In the General Settings section, you have several configurable options to customize your server environment to your needs.
You have the flexibility to change the server name and hostname to any preferred values, providing greater flexibility and customization.
Additionally, you can select different PHP-CLI versions by clicking on the dropdown menu and choosing the appropriate version that suits your application requirements.
The default timezone is set to Etc/UTC, but you can easily adjust it to match your region, ensuring accurate timekeeping and scheduling for your server activities. These settings help you maintain an optimal and personalized server configuration.

Server Name:

The server name is a crucial identifier for your server, used for network identification and various configurations. With ServerKade, you can easily change the default server name to one that suits your preferences by modifying the value in the “Server Name” box under General Settings.

Host Name:

The hostname is a key identifier for your server or device within a network. Changing the hostname to more convenient name can help better organize and manage your network resources. While it used to be associated with the domain name or the server’s entry point, this is less relevant now as domains are often managed separately from the hostname. With ServerKade, you can easily change your system’s hostname by updating the value in the “Host Name” field within the general settings section of your account.

PHP-CLI Version:

PHP-CLI is one of the many PHP modules you can use for various purposes. For example, PHP-MYSQL provides a method to interact with the MySQL databases. Similarly, If you want to execute PHP code from the command line interface, You need PHP-CLI installed on your Server.

If you manage your Server with ServerKade, You already have it installed and configured. PHP-CLI comes with various PHP versions. So, It is important to note that you might need different PHP-CLI versions for different projects and different purposes.

With ServerKade, You can change the PHP-CLI version with ease. It is just a few step process. You can have any PHP-CLI version you want, from 7.2 to 8.3.

Timezone:

The time zone setting is essential for ensuring your server or device accurately reflects the local time of its geographical location.It is crucial for precisely time-stamping events, scheduling tasks, and maintaining synchronization across systems. By default, the time zone is set to Etc/UTC, but you can adjust it to your local time zone in ServerKade’s settings to match your location.

By Following the below given steps you can change the general settings of your system:

Step 1: First, log in to the ServerKade Account.

Step 2: Click on the Dashboard button for the server you want to change the general settings for.

Step 3: In the left-hand sidebar of the server panel, click on Settings.

Step 4: Now, you will see the Settings form as shown in the image below.

Step 5: You have the option to modify the Servername, Hostname, PHP-CLI Version, and TimeZone by adjusting their values in the General Settings, as illustrated in the image below. After making your changes, simply click the Save button to apply them.
